Lake Bled Slovenia Wedding Photographer

I was recently fortunate enough to be asked by a previous bridesmaid of a wedding I had photographed in the UK, if I would photograph her Lake Bled destination wedding in Slovenia.

She had loved the way I interacted with the Bride and Groom and wedding guests, and my relaxed, natural approach and wanted something similar for her wedding abroad.

Lake Bled Wedding Photographs

The wedding ceremony was held at Vila Bled, a stunning lakeside wedding venue overlooking the infamous turquoise blue lake, Bled Island and The Pilgrimage Church of the Assumption of Mary – where the wishing bell can be heard ringing across the whole of the lake. It really couldn’t be a more picture perfect wedding destination. Bled Castle on the opposite side of the lake finishing off the postcard view of Lake Bled.

One thing the Bride wanted from the photographs, was that it should remain in my natural, documentary wedding photography style – as they wanted a very relaxed, laid back fun wedding day – enjoying the Lake Bled views and the location, spending time with each other, catching up with friends and family, rather than spending the entire day posing for the camera.

Bled Castle Wedding Photographs

I was able to spend a couple of days either side of the wedding photographing the area around Lake Bled – these pictures will accompany the wedding day photographs, in order to tell the full Lake Bled Wedding story. It really is such a beautiful location, somewhere I would recommend everyone to visit.

I was so glad to capture wedding photogaphs of the Bride and Groom at Bled Castle, infront of onlooking tourists who weren't expecting to see a wedding, overlooking Lake Bled at sunset - the perfect time of day for photographs. Bled Castle views over Lake Bled are breathtaking, and being able to have some time here with the Bride and Groom was definitely worth it!
